| what's the strangest or spookiest thing you've experienced? | | [em]lol[/em]I swear this really happened: I was in my daughter's bedroom, sitting on her bed while watching this really good Japanese morning show. The light was on and I was so engrossed that my total focus was on the television screen. A commercial came on which "broke the spell" and I turned my head to my left where there is a clock on the table...AND IT WASN'T THERE! About two seconds later it reappeared, sort of like it was behind water--a sort of wavy effect--then it was back fully solid. I just sat there with my mouth wide open! disbelieving what I saw. I got the freaky chills, but the show was so interesting, I didn't leave until the end of the program, but I kept looking at the clock out the corner of my eye.[em]blink[/em]So what strange paranormal type thing has happened to you or someone you know? Were you afraid? Was it the first time something weird had happened? Everyone's welcome to respond...even those who may have a differing opinion.[em]thumbup[/em] | |
| | Big Fan Of Japanese Movies by Akira Kurosawa?? | | I dont know to speak,read,write or understand japanese...but the biggest connection that i have with japan is maybe with japanese cinema and particularly movies by Mr.Akira Kurosawa...the first movie that swept me off my feet was "Roshomon",i started liking the style of direction and cinematography that he used to display in his movies...his work with Toshiro Mifune was exceptional...then i watched "The Seven Samurai" which clearly made its way to my all time top 10 movies..i watched several other movies like "Yojimbo","ran","kagemusha" i liked all of them...now that you guys might have got my taste in japanese movies can you suggest me some good japanese movies that you might have watched?also akira kurosawa fans, what do you think about his legendary works? | |

| Do you like Japanese Cartoons over Disney cartoons? | | I like Disney cartoons as they remained wholesome for kids to watch. Though there are good japanese cartoons like Sakura Card Captor, but most of their Manga are so violent. Here in the philippines, Disney is less and less shown. Good if you have cable but if not then you have to contend yourself with the Japanese cartoons. Parents, I advise you to keep watch of your kids when watching jap cartoons, they tend to be so violent sometimes. | |
