Court Orders Internet Company To Reveal Customers Who Illegally Download Videos
This is the news article in the papers recently:******************************************************* SINGAPORE: A Singapore video distributor said Tuesday it has won a suit against an Internet service provider asking for the identities of customers alleged to have downloaded popular japanese animated cartoons.Anime distributor Odex Pt. Ltd. said StarHub, a telecommunications, Internet and cable company, was ordered to reveal about 1,000 of its subscribers accused of downloading anime illegally.StarHub had earlier resisted Odex's efforts to obtain the data, citing "an obligation to protect our customers' information.""In the instance of Odex, they have satisfied the court of their need for the information. As such, we will comply with the court order," said StarHub spokesman Michael Sim.Once Odex obtains the identities of the Internet users alleged to have downloaded the anime videos, the company will likely contact them and seek compensation of up to 5,000 Singapore dollars (US$3,285; €2,419) from each, Odex Director Stephen Sing said. The users will also have to destroy any stolen content and stop further illegal...
dragonball69...
You know, there's a japanese animated series called dragonball Z.From its 'official website'http://www.dragonballz.com/index2.cfm?page=characters&type=g>>>>> Goku is the hero of Dragon Ball Z, the most powerful warrior on earth and the first to become Super Saiyan in over 1000 years. When the Saiyans arrive, Goku learns the mysterious secret of his own past: he is a Saiyan formerly named Kakarot. Goku was sent to Earth as a baby to grow up and destroy the planet, but a head injury as a child scrambled Goku?s programming. Instead of growing up to become a destructive super-warrior, he became innocent and pure of heart, fighting for good. Goku is peaceful, good natured, honest, loving to his family and friends, loyal, trustworthy, brave. If he has a weakness, it is his trusting nature. He always finds the "good" in people when others don't see it, though Goku?s enemies sometimes take advantage of his naive trust. He originally trained under Master Roshi and wears his symbol until he trains under King Kai, whose symbol he wears. Goku grows up and marries Chi-Chi. Together they have two sons: Gohan and Goten. ATTACKS:KAMEHAMEHA - an energy attack launched...
Anime vs. Cartoons.
I am twenty three years old, and I'm the first to admit that yes I still watch cartoons. Why? Because I can, and I enjoy them. There are of course, non-cartoon shows that I watch as well. They're just harder to captivate and hold my attention long term, meaning keep me coming back each week. I also watch Anime, I love Anime. And if there is one thing that drives me absolutely insane- is when someone calls anime, cartoons. I realize that some anime could fall into the category of cartoons like most children watch. For example: Pokemon, Yugi-Oh, Digimon, Etc. Those are all anime, but they're children's anime. The anime I prefer, for the most part is more of an adult anime. It falls full across the spectrum, it really does. You have the children's anime as I mentioned before, things like Pokemon. Then you have the middle spectrum, which would be anime like Naruto, Inyuasha, One Piece, and then you have the more adult anime such as Ghost in the Shell, Akira, S-Cry-Ed. There are many more, that fall into various categories. There is even Anime known as Hentai- which is basically Japanese animated porno. But it's animated! So if you're going to call all Anime cartoons, then wouldn't you...
