| | Who makes a better car, Ford, GMC, daimler chrysler or Toyota, Honda, Nissan? | | I've always wondered why so many new car buyers still stick with American car manufactures when clearly and statistically they break down more often, less comfortable to drive and ride in, and have lesser resale value? I do understand that people have loyalty and some trucks and large SUV s can be better built or equal to the Japanese/foreign cars but overwhelming evidence still show that they are inferior in performance and reliability. My uncle always pick a American car, such as Ford, or Cheverolet as his favorite pick on the early years. My father always want to get Japanese car, such as Honda or Toyota. Which he has confidence with, and he would most likely choose those brand names of car. For myself, I also like Japanese - made vehicles. I guess they are more reliable, and trustworthy. | | What kind of car would you buy? | | In the past, we could buy any type of cars we like. Then Malaysia made its own cars. Today we have the Proton cars and the Perodua cars. Perodua cars are more successful as it has appeal while the Proton cars were old fashioned. Many Malaysians do not like local cars. They prefer either Japanese cars or Western made. My first car was a Japanese car, a MAZDA 808; the next was a Mitsubishi Tredia. Currently both my cars are local ones, a real disappointing lot. They are not cheap too. So, I will try to buy a Japanese car to replace the two old jalopies I have. I favour buying a Honda City. What kinds of cars are available for sale in your country?
