Hanazakari no Kimitachi E (For You in Full Blossoms)- Japanese Live Action
Hi! Everheard of the Live Action adaptation of the popular manga hanakimi? I bought a copy last Saturday and I was really rolling from laughing too hard (lolz). For those who dont know, the story is about Ashiya Mizuki. A Japanese girl who lives in US and currently idolizes a high school high jump idol Sano Izumi. For unknown reason, this Sano suddenly stopped joining high jump competitions, which left his fan, Mizuki in deep regret. So she went to Japan, disguised herself as a boy and went to all boys' school where Sano studies. Just imagine the whacko:)Here is a link of the videos just in case you want to watch:www.crunchyroll.com/showseries?id=4839This series is really good! There is a Taiwanese version but Im not much of a fan:)
Upcoming J-Dorama: Hanazakari no Kimitachi e
Hana-Kimi centers on Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese girl who lives in the United States. One day, she sees a track and field competition on TV, and becomes attracted to one of the competitors, Izumi Sano, competing in the high jump. She begins to idolize the young athlete and eventually transfers to Japan to attend the same school that Sano attends. There is a catch, however -- Sano attends an all-boys high school, named Osaka Gakuen, and Mizuki must disguise herself as a boy to enter. The upcoming japanese live action drama will star: Oguri Shun as Sano Izumi, Horikita Maki as Mizuki Ashiya, and Ikuta Toma as Shuichi Nakatsu. It will air starting July 3rd.credits: wikipedia^_^ photo credits: oguri shun LJ community.HanaKimi official site: http://wwwz.fujitv.co.jp/hanakimi/index.html* I can't wait for this drama really. I love the manga, and also Shun, Maki and Toma are in it! There are lots of hot guys too. lol!
BoYs oVer fLowErs fOrCes F4 IdOl baNd to Rename iTselF
The Star magazine and the China daily newspaper reported that the publisher Shueisha has asked the popular male idol band F4 to rename itself. The band's name "F4" was inspired by a fictional elitist highschool clique in the Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) manga. The artists formerly known as F4 initially came together to play the fictional F4 in the cast of Meteor Garden, the 2001 Taiwanese live-action television adaptation of Yoko Kamio's manga. At first, Shueisha allowed the use of the name as part of the Taiwanese drama series, However, the issue of confusion arose as the idol group's popularity grew across Asia and two native Japanese live-action television adaptations of the manga, Hana Yori Dango and Hana Yori Dango 2[Returns], began airing in 2005 and 2007, respectively. Angie Chai, the Taiwanese drama's producer, chose the new name JVKV last month after the first initials of the quartet-Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu- in order of descending age.
